What would you have for your last meal?
I’d have pan-fried, venison backstrap (medium rare), sautéed morel mushrooms, and a loaded baked potato, along with a very green salad. Water with lemon, please!
If you could try something and you knew you wouldn’t fail, what would it be?
I’d scuba dive in open water off the southern coast of Australia, surrounded by Great White Sharks. No cage!
What did you want to be growing up?
Nothing really jumps out in my memory bank, but I can tell you this. My dad, who is a former land surveyor, began his own land surveying practice in 1970. He exposed me to land surveying at a young age. He has an old, reel-to-reel tape, preserving a conversation we had, when I was 6 years old. Our conversation, I can assure you, was quite comical. I’m thinking that ultimately, I had the desire to follow in my father’s footsteps.
