Traffic

olathe traffic control improvement

Great traffic engineering is in the details. Whether we are using comprehensive decision matrices or simple reports, we can clearly illustrate the advantages and disadvantages of proposed solutions to our clients. Developing concepts and analyzing alternatives to create cost-effective designs is something we do very well.

Our traffic team understands having the right data is just the beginning. With our studies and designs, we look beyond the current project, using a holistic approach to select the right intersection control, geometry, signage, pavement markings, traffic control, and construction phasing. This allows us to minimize construction impact and maximize our clients’ budgets as we engineer safe, efficient solutions.

We selected Affinis Corp to design improvements to College Boulevard between Lone Elm Road and Woodland Avenue. It was important to us to improve traffic flow, while causing minimal disruptions for nearby residents. The completion of this project marked the final step in what had been our 10-year vision for College Boulevard. We were glad to have Affinis’s help in bringing this idea to fruition and are confident these changes will help move Olathe forward.
