Linda Rottinghaus, PE is the most recent recipient of our in-house award, The Schmitty. Every year, we select one co-worker, who best models our organization’s core values. Linda was chosen for the 2014 award, because she works to listen, learn, deliver, and celebrate – key components of our mission.
When describing Linda, Affinis’s President, Rick Worrel, PE had this to say, “Linda selflessly serves others. Her dedication to civil engineering excellence and her willingness to share her expertise make her a valuable team member both in and out of Affinis.”
Her commitment to servant leadership, one of our core values, made her a natural choice. Last summer, she worked many hours to pass her knowledge on to our interns. She thoughtfully mentored them through a variety of project assignments, all while managing her own workload.
She was also chosen for this award, because of her ability to collaborate. Linda is a great team player. Her focus on sharing information and knowledge helps to strengthen and grow any team on which she is a member.
This award is named in honor and memory of our co-worker Dale Schmidtberger, who passed away in 2003. You can learn more about The Schmitty and Dale in the “Our Culture” section of our website.
