Last week, we hosted a co-worker volunteer day at Harvesters. We selected this organization, because they make a huge impact in the 26 counties they serve. Their mission is to feed hungry people today and end hunger tomorrow. That forward-thinking approach is one with which we connect. Our firm is committed to moving communities forward, and volunteering with organization like Harvesters is one way we do that.
Prior to the volunteer day, we ran a protein food drive at our office. We were able to donate 173 pounds of food to the organization. While at Harvesters, we packed boxes for seniors to supplement their grocery budget. Over the course of the day, we packed 576 boxes and were able to learn more about this great organization.
If you’re looking for a way to serve your community, consider Harvesters. They rely heavily on volunteers to accomplish their goals. In fact, volunteers donate time equal to 93 additional staff members. Learn how you can help here.
