CDBG Neighborhood Street Reconstruction Program
Affinis’s relationship with Overland Park’s Residential Street Program spans more than 20 years. Our partnership continued when we were selected as the first consultant on their new neighborhood street reconstruction program. The program replaces deteriorated pavements and curbs, adds sidewalks and reconstructs ramps to Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards for both programs combined. We have designed nearly 25 miles of residential streets, resulting in $35 Million of improvements.

For this project, we explored the usage of alternative pavement sections, including recycled mixes.
