Nationwide Dam and Levee Safety Inspections

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), St. Louis District

Affinis was selected for a 5-year, $6 Million, nationwide indefinite delivery (ID) contract to perform safety inspections for dams and levees throughout the United States. Over the course of this relationship, we’ve worked in Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, and Missouri. Our efforts help protect property and provide a safe environment by maintaining levee infrastructure.

We are currently leading a multi-discipline team of design professionals with the specialty expertise to complete multiple task orders and assignments concurrently. We conduct engineering and/or periodic inspections of water-retaining and associated appurtenant structures. These include levees, earthen dams, concrete gravity dams, river locks, pump stations, spillways, and bridges.

The results of our levee inspections are entered into the Levee Inspection Systems (LIS) database. Our familiarity with LIS and USACE report requirements ensure we’re providing accurate information in a timely manner.

In addition to the field inspections, our team conducts pre-inspection briefings, develops project schedules, attends progress meetings, collaborates with USACE staff and local project sponsors, reviews as-constructed information, recommends repairs and improvements, and prepares draft and final inspection reports.

Task Order:
TO 0002, Kansas City District – 3 levees (Missouri)
TO 0009, Kansas City District – 2 levees (Missouri and Kansas)
DK01, Omaha District – 27 levees (Montana, Wyoming, South Dakota, North Dakota, and Nebraska)
