Robert Ubben, PLS was recently awarded the Robert E. Myers Service Award at the Missouri Society of Professional Surveyors (MSPS) awards luncheon in St. Louis. This is one of the highest awards a Missouri surveyor can be given by MSPS. It is presented to only one surveyor per year. When selecting a recipient, the organization looks for candidates who tirelessly advance the profession of land surveying in the state of Missouri.
In the accompanying video, Adam Teale, MSPS Awards Committee Chairman, can be heard giving a summary of the accomplishments in both Robert’s career and personal life. Prior to the award ceremony, the recipient does not know he or she will be receiving it. As a surprise to Robert, MSPS invited his wife, Mandy and son, Nicholas, to the event. They were both in attendance, hidden in the back of the room, until he accepted it on stage. You can see his reaction below.
Thank you, Robert, for your leadership here within our company and the positive influence you have shown to the surveying profession.
