Cliff Speegle will be graduating from Leadership Overland Park this week, but over the years, five of our co-workers have taken part. Hosted by the Overland Park Chamber of Commerce, it is an annual program designed to provide a source of motivated leaders. It offers information about the community and its issues, along with leadership training.
With the 2015 class’s graduation this week, we asked some of our alums what they’ve learned from participating in the program. Here’s what they had to say:
“Overland Park is doing a top notch job of running their city and managing the services they provide citizens and residents. Involvement in our city is critical, and there are a multitude of opportunities that serve a variety of areas.”
Cindy Martens, SPHR, Manager of Recruiting & Retention
“Leadership Overland Park is a great class that showcases the tremendous facilities, resources and opportunities throughout the city that collectively make this a wonderful community to live and work.”
Ryan Fleming, PE, Project Engineer
“I’ve learned that our great community didn’t just magically become great. It has taken many leaders, past and present, who care deeply about our city, to make Overland Park a great place to live and work.”
Cliff Speegle, PE, LEED AP Civil Engineer.
