Prairie Village Paving Program

The City of Prairie Village, Kansas maintains a high quality of life for residents through regular infrastructure improvements. One important component of this is their Paving Program. Our team has been selected to make various improvements across the city for several years as part of this effort.

For these projects, Prairie Village provides a list of streets they’ve identified for reconstruction or paving. We then walk the sites with the city inspector, offering insight and measuring quantities. There, we determine if spot repair or full reconstruction is needed. While roadway design is the key to many of these projects, Affinis provides many additional services to the city. These include sidewalk, intersection, drainage, traffic, and structural design. However, one of the most critical elements for nearly all sites is restoring residents’ yards when they’ve been impacted by construction.

One of our primary responsibilities on this project is protecting the city’s construction budget. Our team looks for cost-saving measures and alternatives as we create solutions. We even developed a decision-making matrix to keep all parties on the same page when selecting improvements.
