Green Valley Neighborhood Improvement Preliminary Engineering Study
The City of Raytown, Missouri identified poor pavement conditions, as well as a failing concrete lined drainage channel, in the Green Valley neighborhood. They wanted to gain a better understanding of the condition of the area’s infrastructure and the associated costs of improving it.
As part of the Green Valley Neighborhood Improvements Preliminary Engineering Study, our stormwater team evaluated the sanitary and storm sewer networks using CCTV video. This helped them determine which pipes could be lined and which would require replacement. Our team also used USGS mapping and other sources to determine drainage areas and assist with identifying necessary capacity improvements to the storm sewer system.
To find the best options, we compiled data from our survey and stormwater teams and analyzed pavement conditions. We ultimately delivered three alternatives for the City’s review. Along with schematic plans, the completed report also provides future direction for bond referendums, as the costs have been clearly outlined.
