Nick Ubben

Nick began working at Affinis as a surveyor in the field. In his current role, Survey CADD Technician, he draws on that experience every day, bringing an understanding of how the data relates back to a project site. His perspective helps us deliver accurate, constructable designs for our clients.

If you see me outside of work, I’m probably doing something involved with music, hanging out with my family, or planning an outing with my friends.

 

What did you want to be growing up?
Growing up I wanted to be a professional drummer. Still would like to and trying to get out and play more often!

List your favorite things to do in Kansas City.
Westport with friends is always a good time. I also enjoy exploring small restaurants and shops around the city to try foods from the many cultures around KC. The city has a vast group of different cultures all around that are extremely welcoming and beautiful. I love learning and taking it all in.

If you could try something and you knew you wouldn’t fail, what would it be?
Saxophone!!

What is your favorite thing about working at Affinis?
My favorite thing is the company culture. I like how they take care of their employees and provide them the best quality of life possible. The emphasis on a good work life balance and positive work environment are also some of my favorite things.
