Engineer-of-Record, Riverside-Quindaro Bend Levee District
Affinis has been the engineer-of-record for the levee district for over 20 years. In that role, we review proposed plans and specifications for conformance to USACE and levee district criteria. We then oversee and monitor all construction within 500 feet on the dry side of the levee and within 300 feet on the river side. The goal of these efforts is to ensure the levee and supporting infrastructure maintain their integrity.
We have also completed a feasibility study for additional relief wells, several underseepage and hydraulic grade lines analyses, levee embankment repair design, a levee deficiency assessment and report, flood fight training, rolling gate closure structure concept design, and verification surveys. Our staff assisted in flood fight operations in 2007, 2008, and 2011. Our ability to respond quickly and support our client’s needs has made this a successful long-term relationship.
