Warrior-in-Transition Complex
Affinis Corp provided civil engineering support for the development of a Design-Build Request for Proposal (RFP) package for the design and construction of a Warrior-In-Transition (WT) Complex at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. The purpose of the WT Complex was to develop a campus setting where injured soldiers can focus on recovery, facilitating a smooth transition from combat to military duty or civilian life.
The 73,000 square-foot Fort Leonard Wood complex includes a Soldier and Family Assistance Center, a WT headquarters, and WT barracks. Affinis provided civil engineering performance specifications and 30-percent plans. The site design included three buildings, separate parking lots for each building, a courtyard, pedestrian walkways, stormwater management facilities, utility relocations, and utility services.
