167th Bridges over Coffee Creek

The City of Overland Park, Kansas wanted to create a route connecting Switzer Road and Quivira Road on 167th Street. To accomplish this, they needed to construct two bridges over Coffee Creek and another over a tributary of the same waterway.

Our construction engineering group was selected to oversee the project. Working with Pyramid Contractors, our team pro-vided project inspection and management for the entire effort. A major focus of our work together was the bridges, which were built over waterways. To achieve a compliant site throughout construction, we adhered to a Stormwater Pollution Pre-vention Plan (SWPPP) plan and adjusted the Best Management Practices (BMP’s) to fit the unique situation and site.
