Apple Valley Stormwater Improvements
Since its construction, the Apple Valley subdivision had experienced drainage related issues. Residents had yard flooding, erosion and year-round standing water in their yards. Multiple issues were causing the drainage problems, including:
- Nine acres south of the railroad tracks which were not accounted for in the original storm drainage design.
- The storm sewer pipes are undersized for the drainage area it serves, which includes 35 acres from Memorial Park.
- Drainage swales were not properly graded and have been disrupted by utility installation.
Affinis prepared a preliminary engineering study and construction plans for the improvement.
