North Brighton Avenue Improvements

Our construction engineering group partnered with the City of Kansas City, Missouri on the North Brighton Avenue Improve-ment Project. For this effort, we were responsible for inspection of all construction activity and were tasked with contractor, utility, and citizen coordination. Our job was to keep the project moving forward and protect the city’s investment.

The North Brighton Avenue improvements included turning a 2-lane street into a 4-lane thoroughfare complete with new storm sewer, concrete curb, sidewalk, asphalt overlay, and streetlights. Upgrading this street increased traffic flow for the ar-ea and improved the overall appearance of the roadway. While overseeing this project, we helped resolve multiple utility con-flicts and navigated weather delays through constant communication and schedule adjustments.
