Our construction engineering group is partnering with the City of Kansas City, Missouri on the North Brighton Avenue Improvement Project. We are responsible for inspection of all construction activity and are tasked with contractor, utility, and citizen coordination. Our job is to keep the project moving forward and protect the city’s investment.

The North Brighton Avenue improvements include turning a 2-lane street into a 4-lane thoroughfare complete with new storm sewer, concrete curb, sidewalk, asphalt overlay, and streetlights. Upgrading this street will increase traffic flow for the area and improve the overall appearance of the roadway.

This effort is currently underway with nearly half of the design constructed. During that time, we’ve helped resolve multiple utility conflicts and navigate weather delays through constant communication and schedule adjustments. In this post, you can see a few photos of the work in progress.
