Today, we are excited to formally announce Jason Davis is the new president of Affinis. His predecessor, Kristen Leathers-Gratton, will transition into a new role as Affinis’s Operations Manager and Transportation Practice Leader.

“Over the course of my career, I’ve developed a deep understanding of our culture, clients, and colleagues. I’m ready to take on this new responsibility and guide our firm towards continued success,” said Jason Davis, Principal, President.

Jason is a highly respected industry leader and a natural successor to the presidency. He has spent more than two decades at Affinis, playing a key role in expanding the firm’s technical capabilities and market presence. His experience spans a wide range of federal, structural, and geotechnical projects, and his strategic leadership has been instrumental in growing Affinis’s joint venture relationships and strategic partnerships.

“Jason has transformed our work in the federal market by building strong, long-lasting relationships. His hard work and collaborative approach embody our values at Affinis,” said Kristen Leathers-Gratton, Principal, Former President.

For the last six years, Kristen has served as president, shaping the firm into the strong, trusted partner it is today. Part of her legacy has been developing succession plans at every level and cultivating talent internally.

“I became president of Affinis in 2019 following the passing of our former leader, Rick Worrel. That experience showed me how important it is to develop a strong transition plan to better serve our clients and provide growth opportunities to our co-workers. Over the last six years, I’ve worked with our leadership team to build redundancies and career pathways for every position. When I was ready to make a change, I knew we had the right people with the right experience in place,” said Leathers-Gratton.

To ensure a seamless leadership transition, Jason and Kristen have worked closely together in a deliberate “left seat/right seat” process over the past several months. They meet regularly and will continue to collaborate in their new roles.

“I’ve been training with Kristen to take on this new responsibility for over a year. I’m confident in tackling the challenges that lie ahead and grateful to continue working with her as a trusted advisor and partner,” said Davis.
